Our Lady of Good Counsel Church in Rochester was established on October 7, 1928 to serve Catholics on the city's southwest side. Monsignor Leo V. Smith served for 21 years from 1946 until his retirement in 1967. Father Paul G. Wohlrab served for 18 years from 1967 to 1985. The parish closed on May 7, 2006.
