Holy Family Church in Rochester was established in the summer of 1864 to serve the German Catholic community on the city's northwest side. The church building was constructed in 1868. Father Dietrich Laurenzis served for 41 years from 1884 until his death in 1925—one of the longest pastorates in the diocese. The parish closed in 2008.
