Our Lady of the Lake Church in King Ferry was established as a mission in 1868 and became a parish in 1913. The church building was constructed in 1868. Father Hugh F. Rafferty served for 35 years from 1873 to 1908, and Father Richard G. Stanton served for 22 years from 1962 until his retirement in 1984. Today, Our Lady of the Lake is part of the Good Shepherd Catholic Community cluster.
