St. Agnes Church in Avon was established in 1866. The church building was constructed in 1869. Father Martin J. Hendrick served for 25 years from 1874 to 1899. Barbara Swiecki served as administrator from 2000 to 2006, and Sister Karen Dietz served as administrator from 2010 to 2015. Today, St. Agnes is part of the St. Agnes/St. Paul of the Cross/St. Rose cluster.
