St. Bridget Church in East Bloomfield was established in 1850. The church building was constructed in 1874. Father William Hughes served for 30 years from 1861 until his death in 1891, and Father Patrick A. Neville served for 33 years from 1898 to 1931. Sister Diane Dennie, SSJ, served as administrator from 2000 to 2007. Today, St. Bridget is part of St. Benedict Parish.
