St. Ignatius Loyola Church in Hornell was established in 1931, named for the founder of the Jesuits. Father Ignatius X. Cameron served as the founding pastor for 20 years from 1931 to 1951, and Father Jeremiah P. Moynihan served for 16 years from 1982 to 1998. The church building was constructed in 1931. The parish closed in 2007.
