St. Januarius Church in Naples was established on October 4, 1876, named for the patron saint of Naples, Italy. The present church building was constructed in 1966. Father Herbert L. Sturmer served for 15 years from 1936 to 1951. Today, St. Januarius is part of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, serving the Finger Lakes wine country community.
