St. Mary Church in Bath was established as a mission in 1850 and became a parish in 1860. The current church building was constructed in 1892. Father John P. O'Malley served for 19 years from 1958 to 1977. Notably, the parish was led by deacons for 16 years: Deacon Raymond Defendorf served as administrator from 2003 to 2009, followed by Deacon David LaFortune from 2009 to 2019. Today, St. Mary is part of St. John Vianney Parish.
