St. Mary Church in Waterloo was established as a mission in 1846 and became a parish in 1851. The current church building was constructed in 1889. Father George T. McCall served for 29 years from 1929 until his death in 1958. Today, St. Mary is part of the St. Francis and St. Clare parish.
